BREAKING: Sad news for Texans as Star is out and might not play soon

BREAKING: Texans Wide Receiver Tank Dell Injured in Shooting.

Houston — Tank Dell, the Houston Texans’ standout wide receiver, was among the ten people killed in a shooting in Florida on Saturday night. Dell received a minor wound and was released from the hospital, the team stated Sunday afternoon.

According to KPRC’s Aaron Wilson, Dell was an innocent spectator during a mass shooting at a bar. He is anticipated to fully recover.
“We have been informed that Tank Dell was the victim of a shooting in Sanford, Fla. last night,” the Texans said in a statement.

“He received a minor wound but has been released from the hospital and is in good spirits.” We are in communication with him and his family and will offer further information as needed, but we ask that you kindly respect his privacy during this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those engaged in the disaster.

Dell suffered a broken fibula during the Texans’ Week 13 victory over the Denver Broncos, necessitating season-ending surgery on December 4. At the time of the injury, the rookie receiver had 709 yards on 47 catches and seven touchdowns in 10 games.

Coach DeMeco Ryans verified Dell’s appearance at the first day of voluntary exercises on April 15, expressing his enthusiasm over his return.

Despite missing the final nine games of the season, Dell has cemented himself as an important component of the Texans’ future.
