Breaking: Five-time $20.6 million Pro Bowl closing in on a deal with Jags

Five-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Jarvis Landry is trying to revive his football career after taking a year off from the league. In an attempt to persuade the Jacksonville Jaguars to provide an offer to him, Landry is now present at their rookie minicamp.

In 2022, Landry made his NFL debut, playing for the New Orleans Saints. In his nine games, he caught 25 passes for 272 yards and a score, which was a career low.

In an interview with reporters on Friday, Landry stated that he would like not to cap off his career with such a depressing statement.

“My competitive side tells me no,” Landry remarked. But once more, whatever. I simply kind of rock with whatever’s in God’s hands and cards.

Landry clarified that he sat out the final season on purpose to recover from an ankle issue that hindered him in 2022.

He continued, “Obviously, I have some cleanup to do, but overall, I felt pretty good.” “I feel good about how well I caught the ball.”

The Miami Dolphins selected Jarvis Landry in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft, and he immediately became one of the league’s most dependable wide receivers. Before being moved to the Cleveland Browns, Landry played four seasons in Miami and was selected for three Pro Bowls. He also spent four years with the Browns, where he was selected for two Pro Bowls.

Landry has 713 career receptions for 7,870 yards and 38 touchdowns as a pro.
