Excl: Right-wing anchorman angered by the fact that Bills are sponsoring gay men football team

“There is a National Gay Flag Football League now. Why? Why, is the question I ask so often in this country.”

Conservative anchorman Rob Schmitt lost it on his Newsmax show on Wednesday night when he learned about a Buffalo Bills-sponsored LGBT flag football squad.

During a segment called “News From the Left,” Schmitt claimed that the Buffalo Bills are the latest NFL organization to embrace a new national anthem.Gay. Flag.Football league! What?!”

On Tuesday, the Buffalo Bills of New York State announced that they will sponsor a local Gay Flag Football League in Buffalo.

“We are excited to bring inclusive flag football to Buffalo with the Buffalo Bills’ backing. This exciting addition joins 27 other cities and nearly 4,000 players, including straight allies, in the National Gay Flag Football League,” NGFFL Commissioner Joel Horton stated in a news release.

“I, I, I, literally just asked the producers,” Schmitt said, “I was like, ‘Are we sure that this isn’t some kind of fake story from the Babylon Bee?’ There is a National Gay Flag Football League now. Why? Why, is the question I ask so often in this country.”

Sponsorships like the one that offended Schmitt are rather prevalent. The Buffalo Bills stated that they “join other supportive NFL teams including the Giants, Patriots, Jets, Dolphins, Cardinals, Bears, Commanders, and Seahawks in making our growing league even more inclusive.”

Nonetheless, Schmitt was so offended by the idea that gay people play football that he finished the section by saying, “I need to go find my own country.”
