Good News: Sabres Confirm The Signing Of Top Experienced Star In Free Agency After Leaving Organization

Free Agency Day 2024 has proven to be just as crazy as the 2024 NHL Entry Draft was.

The Buffalo Sabres pick up Goaltending Depth with the addition of Felix Sandström.

Sandström began his career with the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, where he was selected 70th overall in Round Three. Sandström spent the majority of the 2019-2020 season playing with the Reading Royals of the ECHL. He finished 13-11-1 with a 3.27 GAA and.885 save percentage. Sandström played 11 games in the AHL during the 2020-2021 season, going 5-3-4 with a 3.19 GAA and.903 Save Percentage.

Sandström’s season of playing time in the AHL in 2021-2022 proved to be his best. He appeared in 44 games, finishing 16-18-6. He finished with a 2.89 GAA and a.911 save percentage. Sandström also appeared in five games for the Flyers that season, going 0-4-1 with a 3.23 GAA and.910 save percentage.

Sandström appeared in seven AHL games in 2022-2023, posting a 2.39 GAA and.911 Save Percentage while going 4-1-2. During that season, he appeared in 20 games for the Flyers, going 3-12-3 with a 3.87 GAA and.880 save percentage.

During this past season, Sandström played in a total of 24 games for the AHL Affiliate, Lehigh Valley Phantoms, and posted a 3.15 GAA and .884 Save Percentage after going 13-7-3. He dressed in five games for the Flyers and went 1-2-0. He had a GAA of 3.87 and a Save Percentage of .823 during those games played.
