Report: Rams set to sign Saints Receiver

Should the Rams sign former All-Pro receiver Michael Thomas?
The Los Angeles Rams had an excellent wide receiver corps last season, but adding another strong option might propel them to the top.

The Los Angeles Rams had one of the top passing offenses in the NFL last season, thanks to their outstanding wide receiver combo of Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp.

Despite the fact that the team’s passing game is already deadly, it’s difficult not to imagine what it could be like with another solid receiver. There are still a few players who have not been signed, and one of the most fascinating is former New Orleans Saints Pro Bowl wide receiver Michael Thomas.

The 31-year-old receiver was recently released by the organization that selected him back in 2016. After a hot start to his career, he’s had a couple of lackluster seasons, and a new team could be just what he needs to get things going again.

Other teams understand exactly what he is capable of. In 2019, he finished with more than 1700 yards and nine touchdowns, earning NFL Offensive Player of the Year.

If the Rams sign Thomas, they would gain another veteran presence on the offensive side of the ball. And, given his potential threat, he may clear the field for the rest of the Rams’ receivers to make big plays.

The Rams could not sign another receiver but would be able to make do because we have seen what this offense is capable of with its new weapons. However, if the team signs another offensive player like Thomas in free agency, that may potentially send them over the brink.
