BREAKING: FSU Beats Out Miami To Land Elite Highly-Touted 4-star

The Seminoles win out for one of their top DL targets in the 2025 class

The Seminoles have added their third pledge to #Tribe25 in the span of five days.

Florida State has received a commitment from four-star defensive tackle prospect Myron Charles of Port Charlotte (Fla.) for the 2025 recruiting class.

Charles chose Florida State over Texas, Miami, and Florida after making official visits to all three in June.

FSU has long been Charles’ first choice for his official visit schedule, but the Longhorns have recently gained traction. However, it did not appear to matter because the Seminoles eventually triumphed.

Charles recorded 29 tackles, including 9.5 TFL, in 11 games for Port Charlotte last season, according to his MaxPreps profile. In 2022, he recorded 33 tackles with 7.0 TFL, 4.5 sacks, and 3 FF.

He becomes the second defensive tackle prospect to commit to FSU’s class, joining four-star Kevin Wynn — who committed to the ‘Noles over Georgia, Texas and South Carolina last week. The Seminoles now have 7 commitments in their 2025 recruiting class, with all 7 being blue-chip caliber per the 247Sports Industry Composite. FSU’s average class grade of 94.1 is tops in the entire country.

The 6-foot-4, 295-pound defensive tackle is regarded as the No. 126 overall prospect, the No. 14 DL, and the No. 19 recruit in Florida in the 2025 class according to 247Sports.
